Google Connect - Frequently Asked Questions
Google Connect – FAQ: 2025–26 School Year
What is the difference between a SSO and a LMS?
A SSO, or Single Sign On, is an authentication method. It allows a user to log in once and gain access to multiple systems or applications without needing to re-enter usernames and passwords. A LMS, or Learning Management System, is an education platform used to create, deliver, manage, and track learning content.
What if a student doesn’t complete the quiz before the deadline?
We recommend editing the due date for the assignment in the STAR Center. This will keep all assignments within the same column in your Google Classroom gradebook. Reassigning a quiz will create a new grade column in your gradebook.
How do I see student answers on individual questions?
You can access student answers in the details tab found in the gradebook in the STAR Center.
How do I see standards data for my class?
You can access standards data from the standards reports in the STAR Center.
I only see how to assign a quiz from the Simple Solutions STAR Center. Can I assign a lesson as well?
Students will only be able to see Quizzes in their Google Classroom; they will not be able to see lesson answers or complete lessons digitally. As always, lessons are completed in the students’ Simple Solutions book. Students self-grade lessons when teachers project the answer keys on the board from the Simple Solutions STAR Center
