How to Review Student Engagement in the Gradebook: 2025–26 School Year

Engagement data shows the amount of time a student spends on a question compared to the class average. This data is available for Digital Quizzes and Lessons. For Digital Lessons only, it will also inform the teacher if a student tried again on a question they answered incorrectly. 

  1. To access Engagement Data, from your dashboard, click “Assignments” in the upper-right corner. How to review Student Engagement 1
  2. Use the search bar, filters, and tabs to find the correct assignment. How to review Student Engagement 2
  3. Click “Gradebook” to see student data on this assignment. How to review Student Engagement 3
  4. From the summary page, click the percentage under the “Student Work” column. How to review Student Engagement 4
  5. To see student engagement, click “Engagement” in the grading panel.  How to review Student Engagement 5
  6. Locate “Time on Task,” which will tell the amount of time a student spent on a question compared to the class average. How to review Student Engagement 6
