How to Filter Questions in a Skill Builder™ Assignment: 2025–26 School Year

There are three ways to filter questions. 

Standard: 

1. From the “Standards” drop down menu, choose the standards set you would like to choose from:
   1. Grade level standards will list all standards found in the book that correspond with its grade level. Review standards will list all standards found in the book that correspond with previous grade levels.
   2. Choose the standard you would like to filter questions by. Choosing multiple standards will result in a list that includes all chosen standards.  

Tag (only available for ESB 5–8): 

1. By tag (only available for ESB 5–8) 
   1. For particular standards in ESB 5–8, questions have been tagged by subcategories to describe a more detailed part of the standard. To see the list of available tags, click here.
   2. Select “Filters” to see the list of tags.
   3. When selecting a tag, find the appropriate drop-down menu based on grade level. Then choose the subcategory you would like to filter questions by. You may only select one tag at a time. 

Searching keywords: 

1. You can use the search feature, found under Tags, to search for keywords in questions. Examples may include: adverb, multiplication, noun, etc.
